The "Starter Packs" that everyone loves to complain about are completely optional, contrary to the popular myth, and my current CAM installation doesn't use them. No other files are actually needed to use the CAM. It includes modified exemplars that rebalance the game's default lots, allowing them to operate with the new growth stages.

When you download the main Colossus Addon Mod package off the SC4D LEX-all 898KB of it-you have the entire CAM. One point of clarification-all the CAM actually does is change the way the game's RCI growable simulation operates, with the most prominent change being the addition of new growth stages. Obviously from a support perspective on this particular subreddit, packs are a PITA. If one of those plugin packs, including mine, helps someone get into SC4 modding, then I think that's a benefit for all of us.

If you look in my history, you'd see that a very large number of people were interested in my mods directory (when I posted my region here). It's SO frustrating, ESPECIALLY if you're on a mac (no installers, no cleanitol). Getting everything in the CAM is almost impossible without a starter pack. It's better than having someone become completely overwhelmed by SC4 modding that they never get started. There are definitely missing dependencies in the pack mentioned.
That's a huge learning curve for people wanting to enter "the community." I've literally been curating it since 2003/4. I spent easily 60-70 hours trying to get all the downloads in my personal plugins directory. The people that have made the mods on all our sites worked hard, and it is unfortunate that these peoples work are being distributed without due credit. I remember torrents for CAM packages back in the day, and I believe the STEx had something they'd give you if you donated to the site, but unfortunately that seems to be gone now.I'm going to preface this with the one valid argument against plugin packs: copyright. If it were in torrent form, or pre-assembled, that would be marvelous. I've got a computer with a fresh plugin folder, and I really just want a collection of some of the files which the community (or anyone really) deems add to the game. I ask because, frankly, it's a hassle to browse the exchange to get everything which is needed to mod the game in any substantial way (especially considering dependancies and mod compatibility), and I've been away from the game/community for too long yet I see such awesome modded games, yet it must have taken so long to mod the game to such an extent. a torrent or something with some of the popular mods (NAM, CAM, etc), textures/models and of course dependencies? Are there any good content collections for SimCity 4, i.e.
